About the position
During critical live operations, you’ll serve as the first line of technical support, working directly with clients and internal stakeholders to monitor systems, respond to issues in real time, and ensure smooth execution. Outside of event hours you work closely with our Amsterdam-based development team to design test strategies, strengthen automation, improve release confidence, and embed QA into our engineering workflow.
- Provide technical support during scheduled live events, ensuring the platform runs smoothly and troubleshoot issues in real time.
- Monitor live system performance using dashboards, logs, and alerts; respond rapidly to client-reported issues.
- Maintain calm, professional communication with clients and internal teams during high-pressure or time-sensitive situations.
- Contribute to live support documentation, incident workflows, and operational best practices.
- Design, maintain, and execute QA test plans and regression testing for new features and platform updates.
- Validate releases, patches, and configuration changes before deployment to production.
- Collaborate with the Amsterdam development team to define QA processes, improve release reliability, and ensure test coverage for ongoing projects.
- Investigate issues using logs, metrics, and monitoring tools; reproduce defects and verify fixes.
- Contribute to automation efforts, maintain QA documentation and testing standards, and participate in sprint planning, reviews, and cross-team engineering discussions.
Something tells us that you...
- Have experience in client-facing technical roles or are excited to contribute to live event support.
- Communicate clearly and calmly during time-sensitive support escalations, maintaining focus and steady judgment under pressure.
- Can troubleshoot operational issues using logs, dashboards, and monitoring tools.
- Work independently and able to troubleshoot operational issues using logs, dashboards, and monitoring tools.
- Are based in Eastern or Central Canada to align with both European working hours and North American primetime.
- Are available to work evening hours during scheduled live events.
- Bring 3+ years of experience in QA engineering, software testing, or a closely related technical role.
- Are confident designing test strategies, writing test cases, and establishing QA processes independently.
- Are familiar with our development stack, primarily Java (Spring Boot), MongoDB, and React, and understand how to test applications built with these technologies.
- Are experienced with test automation frameworks and integrating automated tests into CI/CD workflows.
- Know how to investigate defects, reproduce issues, and collaborate with developers to validate fixes.
- Are eager to work closely with our Amsterdam engineering team to understand our stack, QA workflows, and live operations processes.

There are also a few perks
